The Important Reasons for Having a Prenup
Pursuant to the law, there are a lot of implications that might occur when spouses did not have a prenuptial agreement. There exist some properties that one might be owned or held separately prior to the marriage, and so a prenuptial agreement can be more advantageous and practical than one might think because it can:
- Ensure the distribution of the conjugal or common property
- Provide support or alimony for the other spouse
- Offer support to the child and other spouse
- Bring in the shares of the children from prior marriages
- Providing support for the dependent children
- Making assignment of the debts to the spouses
