What to Prove in a Relocation Case
In some states, there is a need for the relocating parent to have reasons that are motivated by good reason, integrity and good faith. Some parents use relocation as a way to avoid some duties to the other parent, but this is not easily done. One parent must provide reasons to prove his grounds for relocation, and here are some of them:
- The inadequate support of the other parent
- The other spouse has breached some stipulation in the contract
- The parent needs to transfer as required by work
- The child is better with the grandparents living in another state or city
- The other parent might hurt the child
- The other parent has problems with drinking or vices
- There are better opportunities for education
