Parent Relocation Lawyer Delray Beach:
Establishing Good Faith
In some states, the relocating parent must come up with a statement that embodies the "good faith" that supports the ground for the relocation, especially when the relocation would adversely affect the child emotionally, academically and socially. The following are some questions to guide you if your reason is founded in good faith:
- Does the new area have a better cost of living
- Will the relocation result to the custodial parent living nearer with a relative?
- Is it to start or get a new job?
- Is it to answer a job offer?
- Is it for the child’s education?
- Did the other parent fail to observe the existing schedule?
- Was the other parent declared an absent parent?
- Has the other parent not supported the child adequately?
- Does the parent have enough financial resources?
