What Happens When There Is An Existing Custody Order
There are times when an existing custody order has been decreed by the court. Usually, the parent must satisfy to the courts that there is a change of circumstance that takes in these forms:
- The safety and welfare of the child is in peril;
- A willful breach or violation was committed by a parent against the parenting plan;
- The parent has relocated;
- The child is requesting a change in the plan;
- The needs of the child are changing;
- The education of the child is being put in question;
- The parent has done something which can affect the child’s upbringing and well-being.
